Q: Can everybody join the PokerBRB poker freeroll and tournament league and is it free of charge?

A:

Yes, everybody can join our poker freeroll league. See our rules section for more information. Please keep in mind that regulations and restrictions pertaining to poker vary from country to country. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that the laws applicable to you concerning poker do not prohibit you from opening an account at PokerBRB’s listed Poker sites.

Q: Should my forum USERNAME at PokerBRB and my usernames at the poker site be the same?

A:

No, but your forum username at PokerBRB can have usernames at all the sites we list on our Poker Rooms page and each can be registered for our league. See the League Sign-up page for more information on how this works.

Q: Should my E-mail at PokerBRB and the E-mail at the poker site be the same?

A:

No

Q: How does the tournament league point system work?

A:

League points are calculated from the following formula:

  • Freeroll and tournament points = (Number of participants- Your final position in the tournament)*100/Number of participants + 10xBuyin.
For example if you finish in 1st place in a 1000 player freeroll you get 99,9 point. If you finish in 1st place in a 20 player freeroll you get 95 points. If you finish in 1st place in a 10$+1$ buyin tournament with 1000 players you get 199,9 points (99,9+100)

Q: How do I get in the top 20 on the leader board?

A:

The top 20 on our leaderboard are the players who have achieved the most points from ITM (in the money) finishes at any given time during the competition. Each ITM finish counts towards the leaderboard score. This means that the more you play, the bigger your chances are of making the leaderboard.

Q: Why are extra points given for real money buyin poker tournaments?

A:

The average competition in real money buyin poker tournaments is tougher as compared to freerolls. Therefore we have decided to reward real money tournament participants with extra points.

Q: Why do I only receive points if I make the money in the tournaments I participate in?

A: The reason for this is that when we receive the tournament results from the site, they only send us the list of players who have finished ITM. Since there is no way we can verify exactly where someone finished (other than ITM), we have decided to only award points for those people we have results for.

Q: How does the league results page work?

A:

The league results page is your access to our database of tournament results. Here you can look up your own and other player's results by simply entering the forum username or the poker room username  of your interest in the corresponding input fields and clicking the Go button. After clicking Go, the results will be displayed in a table below. You also have the option of narrowing down your search by using the poker site and tournament drop down fields.

Q: What is rakeback?

A:

Poker sites earn their money by taking a percentage of each cash table pot won and by placing a fee on the tournaments they offer. This revenue is collectively know as the rake. Some poker networks have made a new bonus system where it is possible to get paid back a percentage of the rake you generate. This is called rakeback. On some poker sites you chose between rakeback and a bonus but on others you can actually get rakeback and a bonus at the same time.

We at PokerBRB have made rakeback deals with all the major poker networks offering rakeback and gathered all the information you need to start getting your rake back. You can check out our rakeback deals through the poker rooms overview page.

Q: Is my personal information secure?

A:

Q: How do I contact PokerBRB?
