I've seen other players with silver and gold stars. What does it mean?

Hi

Could be an indication of how much you have played at Poker Nordica. Otherwise I have no idea.

How is your project going? How do you compare the play at Nordica to Full Tilt?

Default Missed it by || that much

Session Start --- $45.84
Session End --- $45.88
Session Time --- 1.5 hours
Net Profit ----- $0.04 (1 big bet profit - yay)

Tip #3 Positive Mental Attitude. After as many bad beats as I took tonight (at one point I was almost back to $50), I have to maintain a positive outlook. For example, I had a pair of queens at the turn when my opponent rivered a set of sevens.

As much as I want to punch a hole in my monitor and throw my keyboard across the room, that's not going to help. However, I can console myself with the fact that

1) I got my money in with the best hand.

2) My opponent had to get lucky to beat me.

If they have hit a 2-outer to beat me, that means I'm that much than them.

I WANT them to chase 2-outers.

I WANT them to chase their straight or flush draws when I have a made hand.

I WANT to force them to count on luck.

Why? Because, by its nature, luck is inconsistent and fickle. Skill, on the other hand, is always consistent and always available, IF you keep a positive attitude.

Default meh

start bal $52.66
end bal: $52.51
time: 1hr 15min
net loss $0.15 (4 big bets)

I was up to almost $55, but took a few bad beats and started to get tired and not play my best. I only finished off with a loss of one big bet per table thru 1 1/4 hrs -- almost break-even, which isn't so bad.

Default I disagree

Hi Houston

I sometimes find myself having the same thoughts as you after a break-even session: "That wasn't so bad"
But in my opinion we really need to set bigger goals for ourselves.
A good session should be one where we win many buyins and a not-so-bad one should at least end with a net profit.
It's all about building a winning mentality.
Do you disagree?

Default Sorry

Guys,

Sorry I haven't been on the site lately; I'm out of town due to Hurricane Gustav and won't be back until the end of this week at the earliest. Hope you understand. Thanks.

HoustonSlim
